I've struggled with losing the past little while and FINALLY success!!!
I think to they key this week was water aerobics.
Also are you ready for this.....Drum roll please!!!
I HAVE LOST 30 POUNDS!!!!!!!
I love saying it...But I have a hard time believing its true!!!
I now weigh 281.5 Pounds

Same old, Same old
I often wonder do those who are at an "average" weight realize how lucky they are?!
1. You can walk up the stairs without huffing and puffing.
2. You can make "fat" jokes and think there funny.
3. How about boots? Can you zip them up over your calf?
4. No one has ask if you pregnant.
5. Ever had to ask for a seat beat extender when flying?
Just a few things to ponder. Be grateful for your good heath!

Inspiration
On to other things I watched the biggest loser (which sadly I don't get to watch that often) in this episode it was the one where the go videos from there family. It was cool to see the families that were losing weight because of those that are at the ranch. Also to see the ones that went home and worked with their family and community to lose weight.
To sum it up it amazing what one person can do!

No Sugar
A lot of people ask how do you do it?
I'll tell it's not easy, and takes a lot of self control!
BUT being able to say I'm down 4.9 pounds is what makes me able say no to sugar! I'm willing to give up sugar once and a while to have my clothes fit better and to hear people say how great I'm looking. Those things are a lot more satisfying and lasting, then the 5 minutes of joy a piece of pie may bring me.

Eating Heath Vs. exercise ?
Exercise: To me exercise is more tricky, just trying to find the time. I've come to the point I like working out it's making it happen. I have a bad habit of thinking “I'll do it later” ...and later comes and I again think “I''ll do it later, I have so much to do”
Which is harder for you? What do you think is more important?
Now for this weeks weigh in:

Side note: As I think most know I use Wii fit to work out some times and it's also what I use to weigh on. I've kind of wonder how accurate it is. (I'll be honest I have I hard time believing I'm really losing weight). Well my mom was kind enough to let me use her scale and it's right on!!! I guess it's true!!!!

U-P-D-A-T-E
Here’s something’s I’ve done or learned since start to focus on my weight lose.
2. I’ve been doing water aerobics. Which I love!
3. Sugar is really not worth it…I’ve started to cut out sugar a much as I can, it’s not always easy.
4. Encouragement is EVERTHING! All the comments me so much to me! Everyone asking me how my progress is coming is what keeps me going. Without encouragement I would have given up by now.
5. Even though I am ashamed and embarrassed of my size it does not make me who I am.
6. Wii fit is the best! I don’t have to wear shoes to work out! Wahoo!
7. Tips! From my book. (Which I need to start again) and from others! There so much you can learn about being healthy.
8. Don’t give up what you want most for what you want now! Whether it is eating something you shouldn’t or skip working out.
9. It’s a lifestyle change not a “diet”
10. “I think I can, I think I can” It’s all about a positive attitude.

Sweet!
So is it “Sweet I’m down” or I’ve had to many sweets this past week?
I hate to report is but it’s the second. I blame Key Lime Pie and Mint Brownie Blast from Village Inn! I have had my fair share of treats this week. Also I did not keep track of WW points I guess this proves it has been working.
I’m up 2.2 pounds, which puts me at 307.1 pounds.

I love good news!
There two short term “goals” I have:
My goal that I set with Wii Fit is to lose 20 pounds by August, hopefully I can reach that or more in time for the stuff stated above.
Tip # 55 Drowning in Maple Syrup

Homemade Syrup: 180 Calories, 44 Grams of Sugar
Bottled Syrup: 200 Calories, 33 Grams of Sugar
Jam: 112 Calories, 20 Grams of Sugar
“Sugar Free” Homemade Syrup 0 Calories, 0 Grams of Sugar
Try making the sugar free version
Combine:
2 cups boiling water
2 cups Splenda no-calorie sweetener
½ teaspoon Mapleine flavoring
I plan trying this syrup sometime and get back to you on how good it is!

Slow and Steady
It’s a slow process but I think I’m getting down the eat less work out more.
As far weight watchers I wish everything had it’s points value on it…it’s hard to figure out the points for homemade stuff…hopefully with practice I’ll get it down.

I’ve gotten pretty good at working out while watching TV/movies. I however wish I were getting a better work out…. my elliptical treadmill is not the greatest. (So if anyone knows of where I can get a better one please let me know!)

Back on track!
However there is a bit of a catch…for one I started following the Weight Watches program (most of the time) and Alison pointed out to me that the first week you lose a good amount due to water weight. Secondly when I weighed my self I had just gotten done working out, which I’m guessing is not the best time.
Either way I’ll take whatever weight loses I can get! I really do think I am back on track! I went to water aerobics once and walked a mile at the gym twice this week. I think one advantage to having a membership is I can go and workout for 20 minutes and if that is all I’m not out $5.
One more thing my mom and me went to Olive Garden and had this (25 points)

and this (17 points)

Also in the same day I had this (23 points) plus frys and an Oreo Shake
and another day I had a cookie dough shake from Riley’s. So its kind of some freak thing that I’m down 4 pounds making this weeks weight 307.8 (which is my lowest since staring my blog!)

Rather than trying to understand which claim means what, here are two simple steps to help you quickly decipher whole-grain food claims:
1. Look for foods that say”100-percent whole grains.” The 100 percent is the key.
2. Look at the nutrition facts label. Does the food have more then three grams of fiber? If so, it’s likely a good source of whole grain.
I have a hard time with wheat cause of the texture…that’s my problem with a lot of stuff for me. But I am getting better at it!

Me I'd rather have the cake! :) Desserts are my weakness!!! Especially because of where I work and I also love to make desserts, so that is something I need to work on….

I just want to get under the 300 pounds at this point. Is that to much to ask for?!

Tip # 48 Love Hot Chocolate?
Hot Chocolate? Good? Bad?
The book says Hot Chocolate has lot sugar in it. Well duh! So to be careful, okay.
However I read somewhere else that if you are craving chocolate to have Hot Chocolate, you will get the chocolate you want but not all the calories that would be in a candy bar or something.
So I think like all things have it in moderation. What do you think?

I don’t believe it!!!
So my little Wii Fit scale/board says I lost 3.3 pounds this week!!!!!! And it also says it concerned I’m losing too much weight too fast and it’s concerned for my health. Are you kidding me?!
Okay, I’m glad I’ve lost that much I just don’t believe it! Haha and as far being concerned for my health…. well it’s a little late for that. Anyways….
I have worked out pretty good this week! I have an elliptical treadmill, that well sucks (I paid $70 for it) but it is something. I have used it when watching TV! Which has worked out pretty well, it beats just sitting there while I watch stuff like The Bachelor and One Tree Hill and hate all their stupid skinny bodies!
As far as eating this week could be better, could be worse. I don’t think I snaked as much this week. But because of my mom’s surgery I haven’t eaten the best meals, but it hasn't been to bad it seems.
My weight this week is 306! Let’s hope I can keep this up or well down! :)

Tip #47 Safer Meat

I think this is pretty obvious, hot dogs, lunchmeats, chicken nuggets, sausages, and meat in box entrees. Not all these are going be separated meats, but that the kinds that would be.
I have these kinds of things sometimes but not on a daily base not even weekly.
…. I think I have come to the conclusion I like food too much! Cause nothing I eat is way bad I just eat too much of what I do have. :(

Ugh!!
I think some of the problems are:
Work: It’s killer! Working around food all day and not just food like at Mc D’s but GOOD food that you want to eat! I must stop eating so much there! (Rice is my new addiction)
Exercise: Let’s see I went to water aerobics once…. I used my elliptical treadmill a few time, it’s however not the best. I need to figure out a better way to exercise. (I feel like a broken record that is all I ever say.)
I’ve come to realize I have to stop eating all together!! Ok not really cause that’s just another extreme. However there is this problem of you should work out X amount a day to burn off what you had that day…then what you have (at least I do) all this other stuff stored up, so that means you have to workout that much more.
Some at work said this and I thought it was great “A moment on your lips a life time on your hips” …something to think about!

Tip # 46 All Right, Who’s Cooking Dinner?
Taking time to plan ahead does work. I know from personal experience that my family eats healthier when I plan meals in advance. (It’s also less expensive!)
My family use to do this for a while and have tried several times to re-start. Maybe today is the day to start again. I’m just hoping we can stick to planning, cause I do think it helps in several ways!
Ok…I’m re think this again tips might be Fridays, same a weigh in. That way I can just type both up at the same time and be done for the week.

Happy New Year!
New Years resolution. Yes? or No?
I personally think “New Years resolution” are stupid… Why can you only make a goal at the beginning of the year? And we all know the chances of keeping them are slim.
However even though I’m not a big fan of them if I were to have them here’s mine: continue with the weight lose thing, and start saving up money for things such a mission? Or wedding? …Which ever happens and when ever.
Now for the weigh in …………………………. +2 pounds.
Here’s the deal since last time we’ve had two birthdays New Years Eve and New Years day! So there’s been a lot of food healthy and un-healthy. Hope we can get the food gone soon and if not just keep it out of sight, out of mind.
My weight this week is 308.9 pounds. Definitely need to get back on track. :(

So here’s what I’ve decided, I think I’m going start doing a “tip a week”! I think I’ve been over whelmed by doing the tip per day and have not done so well at really doing the tip, which is the whole point. Right? With a tip a week this way I’ll be able to focus more on the tip, rather the just type it up and that be it.
I’m honestly struggling with the whole weight loss thing right now (as you’ll see in the next blog…) I just figure I should accept the fact that I’m just going to be fat my whole life…
Back the whole point of this blog, I think I’m going to post the tip on Monday’s that way I’ll start off the week with new tip and the by Friday see if it worked!
